BIBLE MEDITATION: ?The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.? John 10:10

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: I heard of a family who escaped from the ravages of Katrina and was offered shelter at a church. They refused  because they were so angry with God for allowing such a thing to happen to them.
While humanly, I can understand their thinking, it is flawed thinking. One time Joyce and I had a heartache. Our little baby had died. Days before, I had been visiting the hospital and was witnessing to a man. When I came back shortly after the funeral, the man looked at me and said, ?What are you doing here? Are you still serving God after what He did to you?? I said, ?Oh friend, I?m serving God all the more. Do you think I?m going to line up with the enemy? No, Satan has a greater foe than he?s ever had before. Jesus is the only One Who has the answer to sin, sorrow, and death.

ACTION POINT: Friend, in times of sorrow and despair, don?t turn from the Lord. But use it as an opportunity to come to Him in a richer, fuller way than you ever have before. Trust in the goodness of God. Don?t mistake Him for the enemy who wants to harm you.
